What is a wire rope sling snaps
Wire rope clips, also known as wire rope sling snaps, is a relatively common wire rope end fittings, mainly the end of the wire rope to form a load-bearing ring eye or connect two cables when used.
Such as crane cables or winches on the end of the wire rope connection, through the ring eye lifting point or unloading buckle activities of the wire rope, dock or parking lot and other places of the periphery of the cable.
The U-bolt clip is the most common type of wire rope carabiner, usually made of forged or castable steel, and consists of a U-bolt, two nuts and a metal base (saddle).
Care should be taken when using wire rope snaps:
1. Ensure that the wire rope clamps are placed in the correct orientation.
2. When using the wire rope clip, always place the saddle on the movable end (main rope) of the wire rope.
3．Ensure that the wire rope clamp is tightened to the proper specification.
4. Check the torque after use and adjust the torque after use if necessary.
5. Follow the correct procedure when installing wire rope clamps.
6. When using multiple wire rope clamps , the clamps should be arranged in a straight line, with the U-bolt in contact with the fixed end of the rope (head), not with the movable end (main rope). If the U -bolt is in contact with the movable end (main rope), the main rope will be flattened, and the wire will be easily broken when it is stressed.
